One thing that you can’t chose in life are your genes. They are handed down to you at birth and will largely dictate how you look throughout the rest of your life.
Whilst there are many anti-aging procedures that a person can follow to reduce and delay the signs of aging, eventually time catches up with us all. With advanced aging our skin becomes looser and sooner or later will develop fine lines and wrinkles.
The practice of facial aesthetics requires the practitioner to comprehensively evaluate the face in terms of proportion and the harmony as related to individual ethnic and cultural ideals.
Facial aesthetics procedures are non-surgical treatments designed to enhance the way you look and perhaps, shave a few years off your visible age. They are shown to significantly improve quality of life and psychological wellbeing. This explains why they have become more sought after in recent years by all ages and gender to replace more invasive surgical procedures.

Anti wrinkle injections – Botox
Lines and wrinkles develop on our skin, in particular on our faces, and make us look older and more tired than we feel. These signs of ageing are partly the result of sun damage and toxins.
Treatments with Botulinum Toxin which is best known as Botox ® has been used in hospitals in the UK since 1977 and within the cosmetics industry for over 20 years.
Botulinum toxin type A is a purified protein that works by relaxing muscles that cause expression lines and wrinkles. By reducing the strength of the muscles, it reduces the appearance of the lines and wrinkles.
Azzalure, Dysport, Vistabel and BoCouture are all brand names for Botulinum toxin type A and work in the same way as Botox. They are all used as muscle relaxing treatments and can also be used to prevent excess sweating.
The results typically last between 3-9 months depending on the area treated and lasts longer with continued treatment.
The procedures take between 15-30 minutes.

Dermal fillers are non-permanent, hyaluronic acid which provide volume, hydration and shape to the tissues. Hyaluronic acid or HA is found naturally in almost every cell in the body with the greatest concentrations in the skin tissue. It is found in the deep dermal layers as well as the top epidermal layer of the skin and forms the smooth and elastic properties of young skin. HA can bind up to 1000 times its weight in water – that is why it is often referred to as the body’s internal moisturiser. With age, the skin’s ability to produce HA decreases.
Hyaluronic acid is the primary ingredient of the most popular dermal fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Teosyal, Belotero). They are soft, natural and tissue friendly and more importantly, have a high level of safety as they can be rapidly reversed.
They are used to restore firmness, volume and fullness to the skin where folds and wrinkles have formed due to ageing. They may be used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, rejuvenate areas where fat has been loss (cheeks, temples, under-eyes) and improve asymmetries. Dermal fillers can also be used to plump, volumise and reshape thin or thinning lips.
Treatment takes around 30 minutes and the results are instant.
Results will last between 6 and 18 months depending on the area treated.
The filler is naturally broken down by the body, like the body’s own hyaluronic acid.

They are suitable for pigmented, sun-damaged, acne scarred, wrinkled skin or for those who would simply like to freshen up their facial skin.
A chemical peel reacts with the very top layer of the skin, causing it to peel away, revealing healthier, smoother and blemish free complexion underneath.
